ARRIVING IN MARSEILLE

 

By plane 

Marseille Provence International Airport is situated at the outskirts of the city (25 km from the city centre). It offers direct connections to many European cities as well as beyond the borders of Europe. The detailed flight schedule is available at http://www.marseille-airport.com.

Public bus transfers from Marseille Provence Airport to Marseille City Centre (Railway station) and vice versa are available every 15/20 minutes. It takes approximately 25 minutes to arrive depending on the traffic.

Costs are € 8.30 for a one way ticket and € 13.40 for a round trip ticket.

Regular coach transfer from Marseille airport to Marseille city centre :

There is a regular bus shuttle from Marseille airport to Marseille St Charles Railway station for € 8.30 pp one way. The bus departs every 15 minutes from Marseille airport from 4:10AM to 11:30PM including Sundays and bank holidays. Once you arrive at the railway station you can change on the metro to reach your hotel or the Parc Chanot Exhibition and Convention Centre.

By car 

Three motorways link Marseille to different parts of the country. Driving distances are less than 1 hour to the Camargue Area, the Heart of the Provence, and 2 hours to the Famous French Riviera.

Littoral A55 (towards Marseille Provence International Airport, Aix, Fos, Lyon, Montpellier, Barcelona)
Est A50 (towards Cassis, Toulon, Nice, Genoa)

By train 

More than 200 trains arrive at Marseille St Charles Railway station every day. Thanks to the high-speed train TGV, Marseille is only a short ride away from most French cities: Going to Paris will take 3 hours, Lyon 1h40mins, Lille 5h20mins, Toulouse 3h20mins… and also Brussels and London are well served.

Marseille St Charles Railway Station is located in the city centre, walking to the Old Pier will only take you 15 minutes. From there you can easily take the metro to reach Parc Chanot Congress Exhibition and Convention Centre in 15 minutes: The red line no. 2 towards Sainte-Marguerite Dromel from Gare St Charles to Rond Point du Prado.
